
The recall: The recall involves 1,290,000 Oster French Door Countertop Ovens sold in the U.S. and 104,195 sold in Canada with the model numbers TSSTTVFDXL, TSSTTVFDDG, TSSTTVFDMAF and TSSTTVFDDAF. The model number can be found on a label on the back side of the oven and on its original packaging.
The risk: The oven’s doors can unexpectedly close, posing a burn hazard to consumers.
Incidents/injuries: Sunbeam Products has received 95 reports of the doors unexpectedly closing, resulting in burn injuries to consumers, including two reports of second-degree burns.
Where and when sold: The ovens were sold at stores nationwide, including Bed Bath & Beyond, Costco, and Walmart, and online at Amazon and Overstock.com from August 2015 through July 2025 for $140 to $250.
The remedy: Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled countertop ovens and contact Sunbeam for a free repair kit. It includes a clip-on device to help keep the doors open, along with repair instructions and a QR code link to an installation video. No tools are required for the repair.
