The recall: The recall covers 1,250 GhostBed Natural mattresses in twin, twin XL, full, queen, king, split king, and California king sizes manufactured between June 2021 and March 2023. The mattresses are 12 inches thick and have an ivory quilted top panel and an ivory knit quilted side panel featuring horizontal lines. They are embroidered with a “GhostBed Natural” logo in black and green on the mattress cover. The model number on the recalled mattresses begins with “13GBNAT” or “Natural.” The model number and date of manufacture appear on the white label sewn into the seam of the mattress.

The risk: The mattresses violate the smoldering-ignition requirements of the federal mattress flammability regulation, posing a fire hazard.

Incidents/injuries: No injuries or incidents have yet been reported.

Where and when sold: GhostBed.com, GhostBedNatural.com, and other websites from June 2021 through March 2023. The mattress cost $1,200 to $2,500.

The remedy: Stop using a recalled mattress immediately and contact GhostBed to receive a free cover. Placing the new cover on the mattress will bring it into compliance with federal flammability regulations.
